Sussex Floor & Vault Results

A group of gymnasts from 1066 Gymnastics travelled up Burgess Hill for a floor and vault competition organised by Sussex Gymnastics. Competing at novice level in the group for boys aged 10 & 11 years Luke Griffin scored 7.600 on floor and 6.400 for vault giving him the bronze medal with a total of 14.000. Anthony Winstanley scored 7.500 on floor and 6.300 on vault with a total of 13.800 and finishing in 4th place. Jamie Halligan also performed well scoring 6.400 on floor and 5.300 on vault gaining a total score of 11.700.In the novice girls 10 years category Amber Offord scored 7.900 floor and 5.600on vault for a 13.500 total. Chloe Lee gained a score of 8.150 on floor and 5.800 on vault and finished with a score of 13.950. Chloe Beeching was awarded the bronze medal with a total of 14.300 after scoring 8.100 on floor and 6.200 on vault.

At novice level in the group for girls aged 11 years Rebecca Wojcik scored 8.000 on floor and 5.400 on vault to earn a total of 13.40. Lily-Beth Harley was just behind her with a final score of 13.000 after scoring 7.400 on floor and 5.600 on vault. Also performing well in this category was Ella Hebron who took 7.700 on floor 5.200 on vault. Her total was 12.90. Grace Bray scored 7.900 on floor and 5.000 on vault for a total of 12.900. Emma Newbury gained a total of 12.500 for 7.800 on floor and 4.700 vault.

At novice level in the group for boys aged 8 & 9 years Stanley Tattam competed very well and obtained a bronze medal with a final score of 12.350 after scoring 5.900 on floor and 6.450 on vault. In the group for boys aged 10 & 11 years Harrison Master was awarded a bronze medal scoring 7.400 on floor and 6.700 on vault with a total of 14.100.

In the 8 & 9 novice girls category Eden Travers scored 7.300 on floor and 6.300 on vault gaining a total of 13.600. Scarlett Darlington achieved 7.900 on floor and 6.150 on vault for a total score of 14.050. Evie Wilkinson got a total of 13.300 after scoring 7.300 on floor and 6.000 on vault. Also performing well in this category was Isabelle White who scored 7.200 on floor and 6.000 on vault and Bethany Newman who acquired a total score of 13.800 for 7.700 on floor and 6.100 on vault.

In the 12-14 years novice group Amy Western had a great comp and came away with not only a silver medal but her score qualified her up to a higher level and she will now compete at intermediate. She had an overall score of 14.600 after scoring 8.000 on floor and 6.600 on vault.

At intermediate level in the group for girls aged 12-14 years Ellie McDonald perform well and just missed out on the medals with a total score of 15.200 after scoring 7.650 on floor and 7.550 on vault.

In the advanced category Max Curd competed in the group for boys aged 12-14 years. He scored 8.300 on floor and 6.400 on vault for a total of 14.700 which earned him the gold medal. Emily Cole was in the 12-14 girls category and came away with a bronze medal and scores of 8.500 on floor and 6.400 on vault and a total of 14.900.
