Gymnasts from 1066 Gymnastics recently competed a the Sussex Gymnastics novice and intermediate floor and vault competition in Burgess Hill.
 
Caedmon Myeni and Salvador Winstanley both train two hours a week and competed in the novice category for boys aged 8 to 9 years. Myeni scored 6.050 on floor and 6.200 on vault, scoring a total of 12.250. Winstanley scored 6.900 on floor and 5.700 on vault, getting a total of 12.600.
 
Thomas Weakley trains four hours a week and competed in the novice category for boys aged 8 to 9 years. Weakley scored 6.900 on floor and 6.600 on vault, scoring a total of 13.500 and took home a silver medal.
 
Oliver Dawson trains two hours a week and competed in the novice category for boys aged 7 years. He scored 6.000 on floor and 6.100 on vault, his total was 12.100 and he earned the gold medal.
 
Anthony Winstanley, Rhys Brabon and Joshua Porter all train together for two hours a week. Winstanley scored 7.150 on floor and 6.600 on vault. His total of 13.750 secured him the silver medal. Brabon scored 6.000 on floor and 5.900 on vault for a total of 11.900. Porter scored 5.850 on floor and 6.300 on vault, earning a total of 12.150.
 
Joshua Hirst trains four hours a week and competed in the novice category for boys aged 10 to 11 years. He scored 6.900 on floor and 6.800 on vault. His total of 13.700 earned him the gold medal.
 
Luke Griffin trains two hours a week and competed in the intermediate category for boys aged 10 to 11 years. Griffin scored 7.600 on floor and 6.600 on vault. He received a silver medal for his 14.200 total.
 
Annabelle Wood, Madison Buck, Charlotte Dawson, Elissa Kovac, Joana Da Silva, Lara Brown and Amelia Tattam all competed together in the novice category for girls aged 8 to 9 years. Wood scored 7.100 on floor and 5.400 on vault, getting a total of 12.500. Buck scored 7.250 on floor and 6.000 on vault, receiving a total of 13.250. Dawson scored 7.700 on floor and 5.800 on vault, collecting a total of 13.500. Kovac scored 7.250 on floor and 5.900 on vault, scoring a total of 13.150. Da Silva scored 7.300 on floor and 6.000 on vault, totalling 13.300. Brown scored 7.050 on floor and 5.900 on vault, getting 12.950 in total. Tattam scored 6.500 on floor and 6.000 on vault, earning a total of 12.500.
 
Marie Bird competed in the novice category for girls aged 12 to 14 years. She scored 7.660 on floor and 5.900 on vault, for a total of 13.450.

Maya Goodwin, Amber Offord, Holly Putland, Chloe Lee and Chloe Beeching all participated in the intermediate category, girls aged 11 years. Goodwin scored 7.250 on floor and 6.550 on vault, getting a total of 13.800. Offord scored 7.800 on floor and 6.650 on vault, gathering a total of 14.450. Putland scored 7.650 on floor and 7.150 on vault. Her total of 14.800 earned her a silver medal. Lee scored 7.650 on floor and 6.600 on vault, scoring a total of 14.250. Beeching scored 7.400 on floor and 6.650 on vault, totalling a score of 14.050.
 
Kya Lacey competed in the novice category for girls aged 10 to 11 years. Lacey scored 7.300 on floor and 6.600 on vault. Her total score was 13.900.
