Notice From Board of Trustees

The board of trustees would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year. We would also like to announce that Matte Hart has accepted a Head Coach position with Cirque du Soleil in Canada and will shortly be leaving 1066 Gymnastics. The exact date will be confirmed in the next few weeks.
Here is a statement from Matte…
“I am a firm believer that our greatest growth occurs outside our comfort zone. If we don’t take a leap of faith, we will not fly. It was just over eight years ago when I took a big leap into the unknown and set up a new gymnastics club. Founding and leading 1066 Gymnastics since 2008 has offered me challenges, opportunities and plenty to be proud of. Setting up from scratch isn’t easy but the rewards have been plenty. I’m extremely proud of the facility, the growth, the results and the reputation of the club. More than anything I’m proud of the people involved. It’s a truly happy club led by a friendly and professional team it has been my pleasure to mentor and develop over the last few years.

Now it is time to take another leap into something new and take a chance to grow again. I shall be leaving 1066 Gymnastics in the first quarter of 2017 to take up an exciting opportunity to serve as Head Coach for one of Cirque du Soleil’s world renown touring shows. I am greatly looking forward to taking up this role and the new chances and challenges it will bring.

I’m very grateful to everyone who has supported the club and me. It has truly meant a lot, especially in the first few years, which were full of early mornings and late nights! I will leave Bexhill and the 1066 Gymnastics family with a heavy heart but plenty of pride and high hopes for the future.

– Matte”

We are very positive and agree that this is a fantastic opportunity for Matte and wish him the very best of luck. If anyone has any questions please feel free to come and talk to us at the club.
Yours sincerely
The Board of Trustees
